These days Korean newspaper use the world “Convergence 2.0” like a fashion.

Digital convergence means that based on digital technologies and digitalized content it encompasses converged devices (such as smart phones, laptops, internet enabled entertainment devices and set top boxes), converged applications (e.g. music download on PC and handheld) and converged networks (IP networks).

SK Telecom, the biggest telecommunications technologies company like mobile phone, internet wire etc., plan to invest 5 trillion for digital convergence. Especially for wire and wireless network, personal auto translation, cloude computing for company platform, intelligence electronic power system, convergence tech between different industries.

In 5 years you can utilize those technologies.

Personally I’d like to use auto translation telephone for translating Japanese to Korean. There are two Japanese speakers in our office who sit right in front of me so if I use the technology don’t need to talk slowly any more.
